SvO2 Module General Information
The SvO2 Module is used in conjunction with Abbott's Oximetrix catheter and Optical
module to provide mixed venous oxygen saturation. The SvO2 is one of the most powerful
cardio-respiratory parameters available. The module, via the Tramscope 12 monitor,
measures and displays the SvO2 and a-vO2 (arterial venous oxygen content difference)
values if SpO2 is also being monitored and a hemoglobin value is entered in the pulmonary
calculations. The SvO2 values will automatically transfer to the Pulmonary Calculation
Program which include: O2 transport values, VO2, DO2, CaO2 and
CvO2 (if 7020 or higher software is used in the Tramscope monitor). Comparison of SvO2 and
other monitored parameters can be viewed using the monitor's Graphic Trending Program.
Extensive on-screen troubleshooting messages are available using the Mentor
user-support system. Graphic and numeric trends may also be printed on the 2" or
4" direct digital writer (DDW) or laser printer.
Visible and audio alarms are available for high and low SvO2 values and for poor signal
quality. |
