Blood Presure Modules General Information
Marquette offers a variety of blood pressure modules for both critical care and operating
room applications. These include single pressure, dual pressure, and pressure/dual
temperature modules.
Marquette Blood Pressure modules are pressure monitoring systems designed to acquire
pressure information for display and processing by Tramscope 12 monitors. The modules can
be used to monitor arterial, central venous, pulmonary arterial, left atrial, right
atrial, femoral arterial, umbilical venous, umbilical arterial, and intracranial
pressures.
Blood pressure parameters are derived in the monitor's microcomputer system; systolic,
diastolic and mean pressures are displayed simultaneously for pulsatile waveforms (i.e.
arterial and pulmonary arterial). The monitors also continually calculate and display CPP
(cerebral perfusion pressure). A single Zero key on the front of the monitor makes
pressure zeroing extremely fast and easy.
Smart BP is another advanced feature of Marquette blood pressure monitoring. This
algorithm automatically recognizes zeroing, flushing and drawing blood on arterial lines
to assist in reducing false alarms and ensuring accurate trends.
Alarm limits may be set either at the bedside or the central station.
To reduce respiration influence on the detection of PA and PAW pressure waveforms, the
monitor uses a weighted averaging scheme that emphasizes end-expiration pressure values.
The Blood Pressure/Dual Temperature module monitors temperature at one or two sites.
The module accepts inputs from either a surface sensor or an esophageal/ rectal sensor
(standard YSI series 700). Both reusable and disposable probes are available.
High and low alarms may be set on displayed temperature parameters. |
