The MARS 8000 clinical review station (CRS) is a dynamic technological advance in
patient monitoring which uniquely combines Marquettes innovative approach to medical
electronics and Sun Microsystems advanced technology. The result is a versatile,
powerful system that consolidates massive amounts of information and presents it when
you need it, in the way you want to see it.
The MARS CRS acquires multi-patient cardiac data for multiparameter full disclosure
review. As a multi-tasking unit, the system can simultaneously acquire, display and print
data on up to 64 beds. The system uses the Marquette Unity Network®in
combination with Marquettes CD Telemetry-LAN system, modular or
pre-configured monitorsto acquire up to 8 channels/patient of multi-lead ECG and
blood pressure waveform data. The system also has the capability of networking the
patients real time ECG data for complete Holter editing and final report.
Combined with the powerful Sun Ultra 1 Creator workstation and UNIX operating system,
the MARS 8000 CRS is a true multi-tasking, fully networkable system. It is easy to use,
easy to upgrade, with superior graphics and interactive multi-media training capabilities.
The Sun Ultra 1 Creator is expandable to 4 processors, 512 MB RAM and 4 GB hard drive
storage within the same CPU enclosure.
User-selectable icons on a 20" color display screen describe the actions desired.
Patient data may be displayed in strip, page and event modes, or in a user-defined
combination of the three. The user also can sort events by alarm classification, and can
customize the systems software to conform to the users needed parameters.
The unique ISDN access unit and highly sophisticated built-in system diagnostics
insures comprehensive remote clinical and service support.
