Centralized viewing efficiency, leading the way in system versatility
The Clinical Information Center (CIC) is a PC based central station driven by Windows
NT®. It offers enhanced performance, ease of use and customization capabilities to
meet the demands of diverse care units requiring central monitoring. A variety of
display sizes are available for use with the CIC. Each display is re-configurable,
on the fly, to allow tailoring screens to match current patient loads.
The CIC provides centralized monitoring of all patients connected to Solar® monitors,
Eagle® monitors and APEX® telemetry transmitters. It may be configured to display
up to 4 real-time waveforms per patient for up to 16 patients. The display window
for each patient shows waveforms and vital information in digital form including:
patient name, bed number, arrhythmia messages, alarms on/off, alarm message line, heart
rate, PVC count, transmitter number, ECG lead label, pacemaker status, ST measurement,
graph status, additional parameter numerics from Solar or Eagle monitors and date/time.
A View Patient feature allows the user to access and adjust the complete
monitoring profile for each patient in a split screen format without interrupting the
continuous display of other patients.
The CIC is user friendly and easy to operate with a simple logical screen menu.
The interactive controls include the use of a computer mouse, keyboard and optional touch
screen for precise touch control. Optional writers for the purpose of graphing
waveforms and printing patient information include a 2 Direct Digital Writer or a
laser printer.
Examples of patient information available for reviewing and printing include:
Graphic Trends, Tabular Vital Signs, Arrhythmia History Events, Unit Defaults and All
Limits. A CD-ROM permits convenient software upgrades.
