How do you get the highest quality cardiac
ultrasound information?
Start by insisting on quality data. Raw, uncompromised digital acoustic data - not
processed, condensed, video-transformed data.
- Demand a significant change in frame rate. Not 30, 45 or 60 fps, but 150 fps and more.
- When the data is clean and the frame rate is high, you'll see cardiac function like
you've never seen it before. Crisper borders. More life-like images.
- Make sure your data is as upgradeable as your system. When you upgrade your system, can
you process images from older exams with the new image processing and measurement
features? Only if you've stored the raw digital data.
- Look for breakthrough scanning features such as Anatomical M-Mode, Quantitative
Tissue Velocity Imaging and Coded Octave Imaging.
Push the limits of echocardiography.
